Now There's a Forum Just for Telecommunicators

Effective immediately WarnCon, LLC is hosting a live posting forum exclusively for telecommunicators (dispatchers). Yes, it is a social network, but not through the usually BLOCKED Facebook, Twitter and other sources.

Silent, but Clean

Ever crawl under your console and take a look at your computers down there? If your center is like most I've been it, it is a dirty place. Not trash, just dirt and dust blown in from who knows where. But, you can't vacuum because that vacuum just makes too much noise.

Well, I have located a nearly silent, commercal, HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner. Its only problem is that it is expensive. But, when you consider how much of a problem a failed computer that overheated is, then maybe the price isn't that much of a problem.

So, my question is: How much of a problem is dust and dirt in your center? What do you do to clean things up? Ever clean the air filters on the back of your computers?
